100s attend Ged-Fest 2015
Many will have enjoyed Ged-Fest on 4th and 5th of July at the White Hart. This year money was being raised for Prostaid and Nicky Thornton has told Geddington.net that in excess of £3000 has been donated.
Estimates suggest that between 500-600 people attended the event over the 2 days.
Nicky has also told Geddington.net “I’ve had some lovely comments on Facebook saying what a fantastic time everyone had. It was lovely to see so many people who, having previously lived in the village came from afar to catch up. I would like to say a big big thank you to Bip Wetherill, to all of our lovely staff that worked so hard, to the brilliant bands that played for us, to the Duke of Buccleuch, who donated a fantastic raffle prize, and last but certainly not least to Barclays Bank that match funded the event.”
The music was varied and had something for everyone. Bands playing were:
Bent back Tulips
John Burrows Band (rock and roll)
Planet of the 80s
