A4300 Road Closure Notice
There will be road closures on the A4300
between Geddington and the Stanion Island
during September and October.
There have been signs on the road for the last week or so, but there is so much information on them, that it has not been possible to read them from a passing vehicle.
Here, then, is what is written:
Work will commence on Monday 21st September on the A4300 between the Little Oakley junction and the Stanion island.
The work will take 4 weeks to complete and will result in delays and closures.
21 September – 16 October: 2 and 3 way traffic lights, 9.30 – 3.30
Saturday & Sunday 26 – 27 September, 24hr road closure
Saturday & Sunday 3 – 4 October, 24 hr road closure
(Road will be closed from 8am on Saturday to 6pm on Sunday)
Signage will be positioned at the Weekley island advising ‘NO HGVs’ and the road narrowed with cones to make it difficult for them to go towards Geddington. Signage will also be placed at junctions along the A4300 advising that the roads are unsuitable for HGVs.
Diversion routes are shown on this map.
