Brickyard Garden’s Totem Pole reaches its destination

On Wednesday 15 June, the iron Totem Pole that has been made for the Geddington Brickyard Garden, was carried from Chase View Road to the top of Wood Street.

Lynette Litman, from the GBG, said: First there was a pole and then there wasn’t … now there’s a wrapped pole with a watering can & blackbird (the GBG logo) on top. There will also be a fun quiz for children, to see if they can ‘name the panel’, from titles that Dave McAlwane has given to the 24 panels incorporating Geddington School children’s designs. Come along and be part of our family fun event.”

The Pole which has been made by Dave MacAlwayne, of MacIron Works, is currently under wraps and will be unveiled in the Brickyard Garden’s forthcoming Open Day on Sunday 26 June at 3pm.
