Newton Rebellion Anniversary

2017 marks the 410th anniversary of the Midland Revolt that culminated in the Newton Rebellion on 8th June 1607.

The Newton Rebels Society, led by John Padwick, raised funds for a Memorial Stone that was erected outside St Faith’s Church in Newton.

The Stone has been damaged and is in need of replacement. There will be an

2.30 – 5.30pm

All proceeds will go towards the new Memorial Stone.
