Lucifer (the goat) was the official Brigade mascot.

The minutes of the first Annual General Meeting of the Brigade on Friday, 30th January 1981 records the acquisition of a T80 Thorneycroft Fire Tender built in 1953 with an eight cylinder in-line engine, 6.516 litres capacity with a tank holding 450 gallons of water, four outlets, searchlight and bell. It would seat twelve men with four others as perchers.

The engine was christened "Queen Eleanor" on 7th June 1981 and the cuttings below, from the local paper of the time records the event.
