Re-launch of geddington.net

On a cold, wet and windy day, with traces of snow still on the ground, www.geddington.net was re-launched with an appropriate fanfare of computer keys.
Gathered in Geddington Primary School’s computer suite were the website’s committee, Janet Jones, Tony Locock and Pam Hopkins, accompanied by Councillor Ken Barber and Jane Rowley with eight of her Digital Leaders from the school’s computer club.
Chairman Tony Locock gave a short introduction to the site, welcoming those present and thanking those responsible for getting the site to this stage. They included: Jack Harker from Octagon Creative, who designed the site; the website sponsors – A Country Garden Teashop, Askew’s Hairdressers, Geddington Cricket Club, Geddington W.I., Rockingham Cars and the Udder Pre-school & Day Nursery; Jane Rowley for her help with the Digital Leaders and, of course, Sue Spooner, Head of the Primary School, for allowing the event to take place there.
Prior to the day, the computer club members had been challenged with producing an ‘Entry’ or ‘Splash’ page. Three were produced, by Julia, Errilyn and Megan, each of which will be put on show on the site; the page designed by Megan was the one used for the re-launch.
And so, at the touch of a button, the site was launched to a reaction of: “Wow” – just what we wanted.
Thank you Digital Leaders, and welcome world, to Geddington.net.
